The Mystery Woman

Well I guess everyone is wondering why am I going to the Ukraine in the first place? Well back in November of 2004 I started at Convergys and met this girl in my training named Yana (center) she and I became instant friends due to the fact that I have spent a significant amount of my life in Europe, and her being european I really clicked well. Anyway, she invited me to her wedding in the Ukraine, and despite the fact that we got along, I was trying to develop ways to say NO nicely. Before I could say anything, Yana said that she had a friend named Lena (left) whom she said I would get along with famously, she provided me with her email address and her picture and I figured what harm would it be to just talk. So low and behold, after many email correspondence and many phone conversations I began to know and understand a smart, beautiful, english speaking ukrainian girl who is now the proud recipient of a bachelors degree and well decided to accept Yanas invitation and go the Ukraine for her wedding. Also if you haven't guessed, part of my decision was also to meet Lena. Don't get me wrong, going to Yana's wedding is a great honor and I feel fortunate to share that experience with them. At the same time I have an opportunity to see new things and get to know Lena on a more personal level and if anything, have an adventure in my life. Don't worry I will take plenty of pictures while I am there and I hope I get some good ones so that way my adventure can be shared with all of you that mean so much to me... Do'Pachenna (Ukrainian for goodbye) or Pa' Pa' for short.

VACATION UPDATE

Alright for those who need the 411 (information). I will be going to the Ukraine for a period of two weeks, starting on the 4th of August until the 19th of August. It will be a long trip, my flight plan is as follows.

AUG 05: Arrive Borispol International in Kiev @ 12:55PM UKRAINE TIME

AUG 05: Meet Lena at Terminal and Hop a Train or Bus to LUTSK to go to Yana's Wedding

AUG 06: Yanina (Yana) and Vadims Wedding held in Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reception
